Thankfully traffic was smooth sailing all the way from Philly to DC. We enjoyed the ride in the pope mobile with good friends, good tunes and lots of sunshine. Before we knew it, we were walking up to the 9:30 Club and preparing for another fantastic show.

Shannon again sounded great, this time around Bukka joined Shannon on stage. The added accordian sounded great and it all sounded even better when Kenny came out on on the next song. We were very surprised when he sat down on a speaker box and then played it. This caused for some confused looks and funny comments from some people in the crowd. But it sounded great and was quite the experience to see. That man can literally play anything and make it sound great.

We were more than ready when the guys finally walked out on stage. The rest of the night proceeded like this:
1. Dreams
2. Only Love
3. Still The Night - Sam comment "Wanna sing a song tonight?.....(cheers).....Prove it." - so we did!
4. Fadeaway - my notes say...."REALLY extended Kurt solo" - Kenny also played on Sam's guitar.

6. Makes U - At one point Kurt and Sam were center stage facing each other playing away. When suddenly Kurt reaches over and starts strumming Sam's guitar way up on the fretts. Then Sam does the same thing to Kurt!
7. Texas Ride Song - Kurt starts playing and Sam joins in saying...."Jump....jump....jump....jump....jump..." - as if we needed any encouragement to jump!
8. Sad Eyes - Sam was in the middle of introducing this song, when during a pause Bukka calls out "Guilty Pleasures"
9. You Don't Get Much - Kurt's introduces Kenny: "Ladies and Gentlemen....the great one!" - not to mention Kurt and Sam were pretty darn great on this one as well!

12. Good Work - Kurt says "Anyone feel like rocking?" When it came time for Bukka's solo, Kurt walked back by him, planted his elbow on the top of the keyboard, and rested his chin in his hand and just watched Bukka with a great big smile on his face. Too funny!
13. Naked - near the end Sam was standing center stage, right on the edge away from any mic and singing "I'll stand naked....I'll stand naked.....I'll stand naked with you" two times through like he so often does - Guess it was pretty cool since I was standing right in front of him and could hear him clearly.
14. Feed the Fire w/ Gimme Shelter, Slow Ride, Midnight Hour
15. Closer To Free w/Wanna Be Sedated - I thought it sounded awesome when Sam threw in a bit of Sedated and fit right in! "Sedated....Sedated...Sedated....I wanna, wanna, wanna be sedated" two or three times through. Awesome!
---encore--- When the guys walked back out, Kurt could be seen opening and closing his arms around himself as if he was giving the crowd a big hug. So nice to see the guys enjoying the show as much, or even more so than we were!

The highlight of my night though was at the very end of Good Things when Kurt came to the very front of the stage saw me with my camera in hand and leaned right over me saying "Take a picture of this!"....so I did. Then gave him the thumbs up saying "Perfect". Although that one word pretty much summed up the entire night, everything about it, everyone in it and then entire weekend all together!
